Membership

Member terms.

Plain terms for joining Syncera. Short, because membership is simple: it’s free, you can leave whenever you like, and we only write when we find you something.

Who we are

Syncera UK Ltd, a private limited company registered in England (Co. No. 17170367), registered office 2 High Street, Poole, England, BH15 1BW. “We”, “us” and “Syncera” mean that company. “You” means the person who joins.

What joining is

You join at app.syncerauk.com by signing in with Google or with a link we email you, then ticking one box. The box says, in your words to us, that we may email you when we find a deal that suits you. That’s the whole deal: membership is free, and it means we may get in touch with something worth your time.

Joining is for individuals, one account per person, and you must be 18 or over. There is no password, no contract and no paperwork. You can turn the emails off at any time in Profile and stay a member.

Your account

Your account is tied to the email address you sign in with. Keep access to that mailbox secure: a sign-in link sent to it is a sign-in. If you ordered from Syncera with a different address, you can add it in the app so we can match your order; we’ll ask you to confirm it from that mailbox first.

We may close an account that is used to abuse the service — for example duplicate accounts opened to claim a Founding place or a gift card more than once.

Founding members

The first 100 people to join are Founding members, in the order they joined. A Founding place is personal and not transferable. Founding members receive:

If you delete your account, your Founding place ends and is not reallocated to anyone else. Any benefit already used stays used.

Saver consultations

Our consultants compare tariffs and deals for you and tell you what they find. We are not financial advisers and this is not financial advice. Whether to switch, and to what, is your decision. Where we earn a commission from a supplier you switch to, we say so.

Emails

With your consent we email you about deals. Every such email says how to stop. Sign-in links and messages about your own membership (a gift card, a consultation, a change to these terms) are part of running the service and are sent whether or not deal emails are on.

Refer a friend

Not yet. When it launches, its terms will appear here and in the app before anyone can use it.

Leaving

Profile, then “Delete my account”. Your account and everything we held for membership are deleted immediately. Records of anything you bought from Syncera stay with the order for as long as the law requires, as our privacy notice explains.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before the change applies. If you don’t agree, delete your account before then and the old terms apply to you until you do.

The legal bit

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under UK law, and nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded. Beyond that, membership is free and we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
