If you contact us
When you email us at hello@syncerauk.com, we receive whatever you send — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use Google Workspace for our email; messages are kept for up to 12 months after our last reply, then deleted.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you.
If you apply for a job
Job applications are submitted and managed through Deputy, our applicant and workforce management system. When you apply, you provide a CV and a short video pitch, along with your contact details and basic application data.
Where it's stored:
- Deputy — your candidate record, application status, video pitch, and a copy of your CV.
- Google Drive — a working copy of your CV, kept alongside Deputy for ease of review.
Both are GDPR-compliant providers under appropriate safeguards. We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK or EEA except to these processors.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in assessing candidates and, where appropriate, taking steps to enter into an employment contract.
How long we keep it:
- Unsuccessful applications — up to 12 months, in case a suitable role opens (or sooner if you ask).
- Successful applications — retained as part of your employee record for the periods required by HMRC and UK employment law.
