The short version
How many times did you give away personal information on a dodgy website? How hard is it to find the bicycle in a low resolution captcha? How often do you get a scam text or email?
World is creating the technology to prove you're real, online, without handing over your personal data. World is building the largest network of unique humans on the internet, and it's truly groundbreaking!
As Brand Ambassador, you're the autonomous engine of our kiosk: onboarding hundreds of people a day, opening and closing, running solo shifts when no Team Leader is rostered, and coaching the newer Brand Promoter standing next to you. We give you the tools, the script, the foot traffic, and the training. If you bring the right attitude, people follow. People who want it can download the World App for free, get verified in about two minutes, and walk away with access to the World ecosystem — mini-apps, chat, games, and instant vouchers from partners like Deliveroo, Uber, and more.
We're basically giving away access to the world's largest network of verified-unique humans. As a Brand Ambassador, you set the pace at which we give it.
It's a job for someone who has done the customer-facing thing before — promotions, retail, hospitality, events, sales floor — and is ready to step up. Promotion to Team Leader is months away if you want it. £15.80/hour to start, plus an uncapped performance pool paid mid-month.
Who we are
Syncera is an Operator Partner inside the World network. Our role is on-the-ground: we teach and invite people to join the network. We started this work in Portugal. Then Brazil. Now London.
What makes World different
You'll get this question a lot — and as the senior person on the floor, you're the one with the calm, clear answer:
- The internet has an "are you a real human?" problem. Bots, sock puppets, fake accounts. World is the infrastructure that fixes that.
- Privacy-preserving by design. Joining World's 18M+ network doesn't mean handing over your personal data. Neither World nor Syncera UK ever collects, stores, or sells personal data. You are the true owner of your data.
- The ecosystem is real. Verified humans get the World App: mini-apps, chat, games, and partner vouchers (Deliveroo, Uber, etc).
- It's genuinely groundbreaking. No other production-scale system does this with a privacy-first approach. That's why we're hiring you to put it in front of the public — and why we trust you to coach the newer Promoter next to you to do it right.
We'll teach you all you need to know. The right answers aren't long — they're clear and confident.
Who this is for
This isn't your typical promoter or ambassador role.
It's for people who want a chance to be at the forefront of technology and share their enthusiasm with hundreds of people every day. People who want to evolve, learn, and progress fast — and who already have the basic kit (warmth, work ethic, customer-facing rep) and are now ready to own the floor.
We can teach you about the project. We can share what we've learned scaling this — 500k verified in Portugal, 200k in Brazil, 14 live locations stood up in Brazil in under three months. We can put you in a system where the next promotion lands in months, not years.
What we can't give you is curiosity. The burning desire to improve. The grit to keep going on a slow Tuesday afternoon. Bring those and we'll do the rest.
What the job actually is
You're on the floor for your shift, running it as the senior person whenever no Team Leader is on. Day looks like this:
- Onboard the public. Approach people, walk them through a quick verification, log it, get on with the next one — at higher pace, higher conversion, higher consistency than a starting Promoter.
- Open and close the kiosk per the open/close checklist. Equipment hand-back at end of shift.
- Run solo shifts in low-traffic windows when no Team Leader is rostered (subject to the failsafe rule — never alone where the centre's rules require a pair).
- Coach the newer Promoter standing next to you. Show, don't lecture. Debrief at the end of shift.
- Resolve first-line incidents. Escalate the rest cleanly to the Team Leader or Site Manager.
- Hold the bar when energy on the floor dips. The kiosk's day-to-day standard is whoever is the most senior person on shift.
What it isn't
Some things are worth being explicit about:
- It isn't sales. You're not selling a product or signing anyone up to a contract. People come up, get verified for free, and leave with access to a network. That's it.
- It isn't crypto. World is a digital identity protocol — not a coin and not an investment. We don't sell crypto, don't promote investment, and don't collect money from anyone we verify. Syncera UK never collects personal or biometric data — that all sits on users' phones.
- It isn't pushy promo. No leafleting, no chasing people through the shopping centre, no misleading language. Friendly, direct, professional. A "no" is a "no".
- It isn't a gig. It's a real job, with real rights, on a real PAYE contract — with an agreed minimum number of hours every week.
What we want from you
The bar isn't your CV. It's your attitude — and a track record of showing up.
- Curious. You ask questions. You actually want to understand the thing you're explaining.
- Gritty. Same energy on the 273rd onboarding as the 1st. Slow days don't break you.
- Coachable AND a coach. You take feedback well, AND you can show a starting Brand Promoter how to do it without making them feel small.
- Customer-facing track record. Retail, events, hospitality, promotions, sales floor — at least a few months somewhere where you talked to a lot of strangers and stayed friendly.
- Ownership instinct. You notice the screen needs cleaning, the queue's getting awkward, the new person looks lost. You act.
- Reliable. You show up, on time, ready. The flexibility we offer only works if both sides hold up their end.
- Clear English. Other languages — Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, anything shopping-centre-relevant — are a real plus, not a requirement.
- Comfortable with a phone and a tablet. If you've sent a WhatsApp and used a banking app, you're fine.
- Right to work in the UK. We can't sponsor at this stage.
No degree required. Prior customer-facing experience is the soft requirement here — months, not years, but you've stood in front of strangers before.
What we pay
- Hourly base: £15.80/hour. Paid monthly, in arrears, on the last working day of each month.
- Performance pool: uncapped on the upside, paid mid-month. The kiosk's whole team builds a shared pool from signup volume on a cumulative bracket structure — push into a higher band and the whole period's signups get repainted at the higher rate. Your share is proportional to your own signups. Team Leaders can also call flash challenges that stack on top.
- Multiplier: starts at 80%, unlocks upward to 100% with tenure (+1%/month) and tier promotions (+5%/tier). Coming in as a Brand Ambassador, you start with +5% baked in (85% baseline) — tenure unlocks the rest.
- Holiday: 28 days incl. UK bank holidays, pro-rated. Holiday is taken as paid time off — not rolled into your hourly rate.
- Pension: workplace pension, auto-enrolment.
- Paid training before your first shift.
Hours and contract type
This is a PAYE part-time hourly role with an agreed minimum number of hours every week. We agree your minimum at offer (typically 12+ hours/week, negotiable depending on your situation). Beyond that, we offer additional hours when we have them and you say yes when it suits you.
It's not zero-hours. It's not gig work. It's a real contract with a guaranteed floor.
If you want full-time-equivalent hours, we'll usually find them — T2s with a steady minimum tend to get first refusal on additional hours, because we want the floor in the hands of people who own it.
Career path
This is honest. The full ladder, in canonical order:
- T1 — Brand Promoter
- T2 — Brand Ambassador (this role)
- T3 — Team Leader (salaried)
- T4 — Manager (salaried)
Promotions are competency-based, not time-served. If you can hold the floor, hit the numbers, and bring a newer Promoter along with you, Team Leader is months away, not years. T3 Team Leader is salaried and steps you into managing a kiosk: the schedule, the team, the on-shift coaching, the relationship with the centre. T4 Manager owns multiple kiosks.
We tell you which rung you're on, what the next one looks like, and what would get you there.
Terms
- Working hours: standard shopping centre trading hours, including weekends.
- Location: anchored to one London kiosk (Westfield Stratford City for our first cohort); occasional cover at others as we grow.
- Uniform & kit: provided.
- Background check: standard pre-employment checks before you start.
How to apply — record a 30-second video
This is the part that matters. Hit Apply on this listing — you'll record your 30-second video pitch directly in our applicant flow. Pitch us the World project, the way you'd pitch it to a stranger at the kiosk. Everything we expect you to know is in this post.
What we're looking for:
- Your attitude — energy, warmth, curiosity, clarity.
- How you'd open a conversation with someone walking past.
- How you carry yourself when you're the most senior person in the frame.
What we're not looking for:
- Technical depth on World, identity protocols, or cryptography. We'll teach you all of that.
- A polished, edited mini-film. Phone camera, one take, good light, real you.
- A complete grasp of the project. We're hiring on attitude, not expertise.
The whole apply takes about 5 minutes: a CV upload (at T2 we want a quick read on your customer-facing track record), a short right-to-work confirm, and the 30-second video.
If you want a real ladder and uncapped upside — and you're ready to own the floor, not just stand on it — record the video. Thirty seconds of you tells us more than three pages of your CV.
Ready? Hit Apply below — you record the 30-second video pitch right inside the form, no email required.
